Modelling of Random Vehicle Fatigue Loads through Transformed Gaussian Processes
نویسنده
چکیده
In this report we will present a simple way to model and simulate random fatigue loads, which are oftenly both non-stationary and non-Gaussian. The method is based on approximating the non-Gaussian process by a transformation of a Gaussian process. The procedure can be used to simulate loads as well as calculating important cycle properties of the load such as the rainnow cycle and wavelength-amplitude distribution. The method is exempliied by a measurement of a vehicle load where the non-stationarity is modelled by piecewise constant mean and linear standard deviation. The transformed Gaussian model is found by non-parametrically tting the level crossing intensity to data. Thereafter, the rainnow intensity is computed and compared with the cycles in the load. Simulations are performed where the damage caused by the load, using the Palmgren-Miner law, are examined.

Statistical Modelling of Lateral Vehicle Loads
A way of describing lateral acceleration for fatigue assessments is discussed. The purpose of the model is to parameterise the different sources of the fatigue load, such as the operating environment and the influence of the driver. The measured lateral acceleration is modelled with an approximative curvature, and the average speed explaining centripetal acceleration in the curve. The differenc...

A way of modelling loads in customer usage for fatigue life considerations of vehicles is discussed. The starting point is lateral vehicle loads acting on trucks. Customer usage is described by using road classification. Within each road class the loads are assumed to be similar and a particular customer can be modelled on the basis of the distance the driver drives in each road class. A parame...
متن کاملLaplace moving average model for multi-axial responses in fatigue analysis of a cultivator
Modeling of loads on a vehicle through Laplace moving averages is extended to the multivariate setting and efficient methods of computing the damage indexes are discussed. Multivariate Laplace moving averages are used as statistical models of multi-axial loads represented by forces and moments measured at some locations of a cultivator. As opposed to models based on the Gaussian distribution, t...
متن کاملComplete convergence of moving-average processes under negative dependence sub-Gaussian assumptions
The complete convergence is investigated for moving-average processes of doubly infinite sequence of negative dependence sub-gaussian random variables with zero means, finite variances and absolutely summable coefficients. As a corollary, the rate of complete convergence is obtained under some suitable conditions on the coefficients.
